A fairly quiet creature known for observing things from afar, Alessandra is the sort who can just as easily blend into the background as needle in a haystack... A rather interesting likening considering her occupation which plenty consider hazardous to mankind. It's an unfortunate fate for an unfortunate female... Well, actually, she's rather pleased with where she is.

Aless, though soft-spoken, is an intelligent sort who keeps quiet and listens close. Being that she lacks the physical strength necessary in a one-on-one fight with an assassin, this young woman often avoids direct conflict and aims from afar when dealing with anything, really. She dislikes confrontation just as much as the next normal person, though does enjoy a successful, intellectual conversation. Architecture, gourmet, literature, and anything else with an artistic taste to it she finds interesting. Anything with a cultured taste is sure to win her attention, but to keep her there one must be able to carry it on long enough with her.

Now, despite her claims to being more than capable of handling herself in new environments due to her sufficient knowledge in cultures, Aless does have a tendency to get lost easily... Not in conversation, but in places. Whether she is given a map or told landmarks to look for, more than likely she is going to end up 180º in the opposite direction. It's a fatal flaw, really, but she makes due. It seems the best way to work around this natural disaster is to point her in the direction of something breathing. While she isn't the malicious sort at all, the idea of hunting down a moving object is all too exciting. Her history with her older brothers has placed at least this much in her.

Moving along, Alessandra is a gentle sort. Strict at times, but more often than not you'll receive a pat on the shoulder rather than a swat on the head. Praise works better than scolding, though at times one must eventually jerk someone in the correct direction. Not roughly, mind you, but to get their attention. In this way one might say she's a bit motherly. It wouldn't be surprising considering her past, but she does try not to go too far... Especially with the older Templars.

To stick positive traits to this woman, one might use these: motherly, protective, gentle, and wise... She would never say she knew more than she did, and when she is out of her league she backs off, but for one her age and in her position she has a fairly open-minded view of things. To be able to take a step back and look at the whole picture is her goal, though she isn't always successful. And as for protective? It might be able to be combined along with motherly, but she becomes particularly attached to those she spends enough time with.

Negative traits? They always have to come... Let us try these: stubborn, unfocused, mistrusting, and she has a tendency to be late to things due to her getting lost all the time. While she's open-minded, she does have a tendency to stick stubbornly to her own beliefs, even at times going against orders should she find them distasteful... A poor trait to have when wanting to move up... And as for being unfocused: when she needs to, she can. When it's not necessary, Aless can be a little scatter-brained. Mistrusting? Only due to her general disliking of many others in the organization she so proudly recognizes herself as. She doesn't always agree with their decisions.

Anything else?... Not really.

The city of Val di Noto in the Kingdom of Sicily is a fairly populated area. Sicily, itself, is quite the popular area due to its incredibly mixed culture even at this time, making it an especially well-liked country for trading. The fertile land gave way to those from many different countries to come and settle, though the family of Alessandra Ventimiglia has always been Sicilian.

Born in the above-stated city, Aless grew up in a fairly wealthy home whose business was trading. Her father, Lorenzo, grew up a tradesman and has been able to make good connections with farmers and other producers in Sicily to work with. It is a fairly easy business, at the time, considering Sicily's popularity in exporting. Even at a young age, Aless was able to learn much from her father's travels. Along with the cultural diversity already in their great kingdom- if you can ignore it being essentially split into two at the time- she was able to take in much of her father's unique stories and even got to examine a few things he would bring home.

Family-wise, Aless grew up alongside three older brothers and two younger sisters. A large family, but they each had their own job to participate in. Her father always believed in keeping the mind busy. An idle mind is the devil's playground, after all, as they have all been taught during their teachings of Roman Catholicism.

It was a popular religion at the time being that most in power were such, but Sicily, herself, held many different others with the influx of foreigners coming in. Aless has always been curiously sticking her nose into such things, much like her two older brothers excluding the oldest. She and the two closest to her age were well-known for getting into trouble, though it was never anything serious.

Moving along, Alessandra's mother had actually died a short time after her youngest daughter was born. The woman, falling to a disease likely carried over by their father from a different country, left much of the household responsibilities to her oldest daughter at the time. Aless, however, didn't see anything worthwhile staying inside and cleaning, cooking, and other such things. She had admittedly grown up around boys, learning a trick here or two that has will help her in the long run of joining the Templars.

Feeling some form of pity, the second oldest daughter took on much of the household chores and gave room for Aless to spend more time with her father. The feeling of needing to take care of her sisters never left, and she would always be there when they were sick or injured, but the girl couldn't help but be entranced by her father's work.

Soon enough the eldest son had to get his own job... But rather than taking on a job in their father's business, he decided to join a group a few of his fellow friends had rumored to still exist. The Templar group was introduced to the family at this time, eventually sucking in the second oldest, as well. Only the youngest boy in the family remained, but only due to a leg injury from when he was a young boy that never healed quite right. He didn't seem to mind, though. Like Aless, he had never been particularly interested in fighting.

What brought Alessandra Ventimiglia's full attention to the Templars were her brother's letters. They spoke of the many different places they went alongside their captain, immediately capturing the heart of the already culturally-aware Aless. Perhaps such a life wouldn't be so bad? And surely there were positions that did not require fighting, though who would take in such a physically weak young female?

The Templars, apparently. All were needed to aid against a group Aless hadn't quite realized existed... A group of Assassins, and already the name alone brought a foul taste to her mouth. It was essentially a gang of people with incredible skills who used them to hide away and kill without being noticed. She couldn't help but see such an act as disgusting. In her eyes, one does not lead without giving their name. What have they to fear, anyway? If they are so capable of rising against the Templars, why can they not face them head on? Granted, perhaps the name itself is enough reason why, but... to choose such a despicable occupation among the many options already provided seems uncouth.

Templars it is, then, though she did come to realize that many of her fellow soldiers were more than ready to do much of the same... Killing, that is. A forceful, greedy group it had become as opposed to the stories told to her. She would wonder from time to time how much these influences have hurt her elder brothers' personalities. It was difficult to tell through letters alone.

At the moment she is seeking more like-minded individuals. Ones that don't see violence as a first option, but instead guide others with a firm, steady hand. One might be surprised how well the people will listen, though she did have to admit that riling them is just as sufficient... The only different being the amount of casualties.

Well, so far so poor. She was beginning to question her decision, not that she would say such a thing out loud. She has already met with a few who see eye-to-eye with her, but to find someone in her own company would be marvelous... Perhaps even her brothers, though it has been two years since their last letter... One must wonder, hm?
